How can your kids have fun all summer long? Send them to camp! The North Houston area is full of engaging academic, sports, arts and all-around day camps. Here are some you won’t want your kiddos to miss out on. As a bonus, they are all near Woodforest.
All-Around Day Camps
Times vary. Monday-Friday, May 29-Aug. 11
Ages 2-12

Keep kids busy all summer long right here in Woodforest. Kids experience Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials curriculum that focuses on character education, STEM-infused technology and health and fitness experiences while enjoying hands-on activities, field trips, water play, movie days, special vendors and themed events.

There’s fun for everyone at these weekly themed camps offering field trips, crafts, hiking, swimming and more. Lunch, snacks and water bottle needed each day.

Kids and teens paint, draw, craft and explore their creative side at this Magnolia art studio. Camps range from single day to weekly themed camps. Separate camps available for children 6-12 and teens 13-16.

Send your child on a magical- and art-filled journey. Each three-day camp explores a different theme including “Under the Sea & Me” and “Wizard Academy.”

The Harry Potter books come to life at The Studio. Kids will be sorted into houses, make LED wands, create stained glass pieces in divination and design magical creatures out of foam. Quidditch, potions class and a Yule Ball are also on the schedule.

Dedicated coaches help kids build and improve fundamental skills and game knowledge. Participants receive an i9 Sports sportsmanship medal and t-shirt upon completion of the camp. Cleats recommended but not required.
