Pine Market's list of tenants is growing with Panicafe, a European-style restaurant and bakery, slated to open its doors in February.
With an established presence in Argentina and Spain — boasting six cafes in Argentina and 16 in Spain — Panicafe has entered the Houston market, opening its first location in Spring last December. Pine Market will be its second location.
The 1,400-square-foot café located at 859 Pine Market Avenue will serve up a selection of European-style pastries, coffee, sandwiches and desserts.
"We bring the charm of Italy straight to your table with expertly brewed Italian coffee and freshly baked croissants that are second to none," said Esteban Cardozo, one of the Brand Owners for Panicafe. "Every detail — from the aroma of our organic coffee to the flakiness of our pastries — is designed to offer a sensory experience that transports you to a European café. It's more than just food and drink — it's a place to unwind and enjoy life’s simple pleasures."
Cardozo hopes the new location will become a destination for people wanting good food and a warm atmosphere.
"Panicafe is designed to be a welcoming space for the local community," he said, "offering a cozy and comfortable environment where customers can meet, work or relax."
Cardozo journey in the restaurant business began with a love for quality ingredients and the art of crafting perfect coffee.
"Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in managing and growing a food business, from sourcing ingredients to creating memorable customer experiences," he said. "Joining Panicafe, a European franchise, has allowed me to blend my experience with an established brand known for excellence, and it's been a rewarding experience to bring this vision to life in our community."
His favorite menu items are the Italian espresso paired with croissants.
"The combination of a rich, perfectly brewed espresso and the delicate, buttery texture of our croissants creates a harmonious balance that is simply irresistible," Cardozo said. "It’s the quintessential Panicafe experience, and I never get tired of it!"
Panicafe prioritizes organic and high-quality ingredients. Many of them, such as the premium coffee beans, are sourced from trusted suppliers. However, they also work with local vendors whenever possible to ensure local businesses are supported and to provide fresh ingredients.
Cardozo said that what sets Panicafe apart from other cafés is their commitment to making every visit feel like a special experience.
"Whether you’re a coffee connoisseur or simply someone who appreciates delicious pastries made with care, our menu has something for everyone," he said. "We pride ourselves on delivering not just a meal, but an experience — one that feels both luxurious and comforting at the same time. Once you visit, you’ll understand why Panicafe is more than just a café, it’s a destination."
Pine Market is located at 791 Fish Creek Thoroughfare in Montgomery. The 40,000-acre retail center is set to welcome several new businesses this year including Bark Suds and Pho Saigon Oldie.
